Abdel Karim Ajami received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), American University of Beirut, Lebanon, in 2018. He is currently a Research Associate and Lecturer with ECE Department, AUB, teaching and doing research in 5G technologies. He is also the acting Head of Aeronautical Information Services at Beirut International Airport leading research and development in the areas of Aeronautical Information Management and System Wide Information Management (SWIM).
 
Dr. Ajami has published several research papers and served as a reviewer in top peer reviewed IEEE conferences and journals. He was the recipient of several awards including the Doctoral Excellence Award from the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research for his outstanding research in 5G networks. He also received a Minister Notice of Significant Achievement in the field of Aeronautical Information Services.
