Asim Rizwan

Head ATM Planning & Performance, Abu Dhabi Airports
Mr Asim Rizwan has almost twenty years of experience working at airports in UAE and USA and a proven track record of developing airport master plans, delivering airport capacity enhancement projects and managing Air Traffic Management (ATM) strategy and business plans for providing air navigation services at international airports.  He is an expert in airport, airfield and airspace planning and design for meeting the future demands in different airport environments and recently served as the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the UAE Airspace Restructuring Project, which encompassed all of the civilian airports in the UAE. He is currently in charge of implementation of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) concept at Abu Dhabi International Airport. 
He has delivered airport improvement projects including geometric design and pavement rehabilitation for aprons and runways and provided strategic input to senior airport management on airport development issues ranging from apron and terminal capacity constraints, rehabilitation of runways, transition from military to civilian operations and certifying green field airports.  He has been involved in multiple projects related to deployment of new and state of the art technology and concepts in air traffic management at ADAC airports.
