David Shomar has been at Saab since 2007 as the Vice President Civil Security Market Area Middle East and Africa. David was born in Beirut Lebanon and after 1975 he immigrated to the United States where he completed his BS in Mechanical Engineering at Syracuse University. 
 
David has established Saab’s footprint in the Middle East to include ASMGCS and WAM systems in Jeddah, Dammam, Cairo, Mauritania & Bahrain as well as Multilateration Systems in Dubai International Airport, Al Makhtoum International Airport, the New Doha International Airport and many others.
 
David’s Middle Eastern and American experiences has left him uniquely positioned in viewing the Aviation Industry needs in the Middle East and the expertise to provide the international solutions that Saab has to offer.  His command of the Arabic, English and French languages as well as his cultural sensitivities, provide his Middle Eastern customers with professional advice combined with the communication skills needed to put these solutions to use.
