Head of investigations on ATM events

Dr Fayçal HATRI is currently serving as the head of investigations on ATM events at the National Airport Authority of Morocco (ONDA). He started his carrier as an air traffic controller in 2002 at Casablanca Area Control Center, where he continues serving as an operational ATC with the qualification of an on-job ATC instructor and examiner.
 
Dr HATRI is an air law professor at the Mohammed 6th International Civil Aviation Academy in Casablanca for the behalf of ATC and engineering trainees. He is also part-time Professor at the faculty of law, economy and social sciences of Casablanca.
 
In parallel, Dr HATRI followed academic studies and research at the University of Casablanca where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in international law and more recently, a PhD in international air law, thesis entitled “Peaceful settlement of international civil aviation’s disputes”. Dr HATRI research in aviation law includes many journal articles and publications including “ICAO’s normative action, the missing chapter”, and “Air safety, towards jus cogens norms with erga omnes effect”. he is also a member of the French society of air and space law.
