Juliet M. Kyeva

Air Traffic Services Instructor

Fujairah International Airport

My name is Juliet Mutheu Kyeva and I am an Air Traffic Controller by profession. I have over sixteen years’ experience in the ATC field and my love for aviation has allowed me to work across three countries, that is, a) Kenya (Kenya Civil Aviation Authority), b) South Africa (Air Traffic and Navigation Services SOC) and c) UAE (Fujairah Aviation Academy and currents Fujairah International Airport). In my long career, I have served in various capacities, i.e. Air Traffic Controller, Air Traffic Services Instructor (Theoretical Knowledge and Simulator) and also as an Internal Auditor.

Apart from ATC, I have a passion for Aviation Safety and Aviation Training which led me to pursue MSc Psychology. My long-term objective is to transition to Aviation Safety as a Human Factors Specialist as I love working with people.  My studies also helpful in my current assignment as an Instructor; I love training, coaching and mentoring young minds and the course I am undertaking will augment these skills.
My current big project that I am working on is establishing a GCAA Aviation Training Organization that will offer modern and industry accredited courses geared towards meeting national and global needs for highly qualified aviation professionals.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family in whatever activity that allows us to have fun and spend time in this fast-paced world.
